another one bites the dust
Published 1 year, 2 months ago in My life.Farewell to Premier Peter Beattie
Nine years he led the sunshine state
Now he’s gone, and just like Bracksy
We don’t know why, we’ll have to wait.
Through floods and parching droughts
Whenever things were grim, sure
You’d see him laugh on Channel 9
Romancing Tracey Grimshaw
At fifty-four he’s bowing out,
His thongs replacing polished shoes.
As he hands the con to Anna Bligh,
Lets hope no mutiny ensues.

Strange the Labor exits don’t rub on the Liberals…..Perhaps the Premiers want to live a little from their busy public lives with their families. I can’t understand Mr Howard not having a life outside politics! He obviously is not as sharp mentally as he was 10 years ago…….I know he is avoiding his duties as a grandfather in learning how to change nappies and having a great excuse for not preparing for his babysitting role….by the time he retires, the kids won’t need him anymore!
And Mr Howard has had his OPEC party in Austria now….doesn’t he know when to take his balloon and lolly bag and leave the Party!
PS Dr Fell, you write great poetry…I wouldn’t dare try and compete.
Thankyou marywalsh. As others will quickly point out, ’tis only doggerel. But if it amuses me and causes no offence (or only little) then I see no harm.
Perhaps you should try - not to compete, just to contribute in rhyme.
bravo dr fell
Aren’t they having some form of investigation in Queensland? Bracksy has his Pokie Machine licences problems and Beattie has his health service woos.
It seems that labor premiers seem to jump before they are pushed by the public. And the Media lap dogs say nought!
