pollies overboard
Published 1 year, 5 months ago in My life.
Farewell to the master of the u-turn on the freeway;
Watch my lips he promised, turning sod, no tolls.
Goodbye to the maestro of the sound bite and the cliché
And the ever-present photo opportunity at the polls.
Sayonara to the mirror man, no more ‘looking into it’
No more jollies overseas or drinking with your mates.
We wonder, as an untrained brumby grabs the reins,
Why heeth altho gone who only thtands and thwaites?

Just a tad harsh Peter……I felt Mr Bracks will be remembered for his tollways which is better than being remembering as his predecessor, as the auctioneer of Victoria! Kennett sold us out, Bracks had a lot of restocking just to break even. Both are gone, and we are stepping into a new era…..At least, give the man a go! He may he surprise us!
It is still very hard to get things done when the Federal government is of the opposite persuasion. Hopefully when Rudd gets in, the states will have much more assistance in carrying out their works.
